Sake sake sake! Drink Eat Play is at it again. You may have seen a post here regarding a sake tasting event in Hollywood back in August of this year. Well, the group that put that show on has moved their act to Beverly Hills for another tasting event this month.

The event will be held on November 14th at Gonpachi in Beverly Hills: According to their website, Gonpachi features "The finest Japanese cuisine, crafted in the Edo tradition and served in a breathtaking setting", which I assume means they serve more than just California rolls.

Some friends of mine have been to Gonpachi and have said good things about the restaurant - particularly regarding its resemblance to the restaurant/bar featured in the first Kill Bill movie (minus all of the blood).

I had fun at the last event Eat Drink Play put on so I'll be doing this again and hey, its just in time for my birthday. Tickets for the tasting event run $50 but if you reserve your tickets early online [goldstar.com], you can get in the door for $35 - which supposedly includes a discount meal at Gonpachi.
